1ST GROUP MEETING

Our first group meeting outside the school's vicinity was at coffee planet. We discussed the theme of our story (by referring to the bundle of ideas that had spawn in our minds), whilst the waiters stared at us for not ordering anything. Eventually we did, and that made the session more worthwhile. 

MY INSPIRATION

  "OTHERS" Short film  I'm a huge fan of films and media texts that highlight major and trivial problems that prevail our society. The subject of Transgenders was something that first came into my mind after watching this short film. This short film was made to praise Prithika Yashini; India's first transgender police officer who went to great lengths to achieve the respect and position she holds now. This inspired me greatly, and made me realize that short films and stories like these can help increase awareness and bring change for the better in many ways. My plans to create a film opening with similar views were rendered unlikely with the fear of unavailability of dexterous actors that could portray the characters in a touching manner. Even though we found talented and fitting actors later on, we had decided another story. Nonetheless this short film pushed me to address social issues.
