LOCATION RECCES

First and Second picture: Final Scarp dealer location ( Update: We found a better location that is more reliable, and the scarp dealers are compliant and very kind to let us shoot there and allow us to include one of their men in our film opening.)  Third picture: The narrow street where Ayaan will be kidnapped.

LOCATION RECCES

First two pictures: House from where Ayaan will collect newspapers and other articles to sell to the scrap dealer.  Third picture: Evil boss scene

In the process of completing the story board...

We had to start our story from scratch after our teacher gave us a doze of practicality. Apparently it is not safe for minors to be roaming around in slums for educational shoots ;-; This time, however, while discussing the story we kept all factors; location, security, permission from respective authorities, in mind. We tried to pick a story from a different genre(than crime fiction) such as fantasy, mystery or horror. Yet we found ourselves coming back to the same story (we were so touched by). Thereafter we made many modifications to overcome the potential risks and started adding on to the scenes for the film opening.

LOCATION RECCES

First picture: Red light scene Second picture and third picture: Scene where the bike and the cycle pass by each other, and then divert at the end of the street.  Fourth picture: Where the Ayaan (the main character) cycles toward the house.  Last two pictures: Aerial view of Ayaan cycling.

INCEPTION OF "SILENCE"......

Taking out time from our busy schedules me and my team finally got a chance to work on the progress of the story board. After creating a proper narrative, drawing pictures and then erasing all our efforts only to start again from the beginning, did we realize how difficult it is to generate a practical story keeping every possible factor in mind.

Casting Characters|

A film without actors is..........is like a shop without articles to sell.  (Hope that sums up their importance ;-;) This is a small sneak peak of today, trying to find actors. The task was relatively easy since our school is filled with talented people, and no doubt we had fun.

GROUP MEETING

Story board in the process of being made, the scenes we once visualized will soon be drawn on paper. The only thing left then would be to bring them to life.

Risks (tabulated form)

PLAN B (Location of scrap dealer)

PLAN A (Scrap yard in a Christian locality)

RISKS

Me and my team had a comprehensive discussion on all the potential risks we could face during the production process. Moreover, we tried to solve them and derive a solution for the safety of our actors and crew. This part of pre-production is essential to ensure a smooth working environment.

ROUGH STORY BOARD

Tight schedules, dissimilar subjects and hence sections, made it difficult for our team to work as a whole in school. Thus we relied mainly on meetings after school, group calls on Skype and whatsapp. This was one of such meetings and it turned out to be very helpful since we made progress in almost completely forming a firm outline for the storyboard.
